Man in 50s in critical condition after serious collision in Lambeth

A man has been left in critical condition after a serious collision in Lambeth yesterday afternoon.

Cops came upon a collision involving a motorbike and pedestrian in Kennington Lane at around 3.20pm.

London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene and the pedestrian, who is aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, police said.

The rider stopped at the scene, and was also taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Road closures remain in place while officers examine the scene.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing to the public for any information which could aid their investigation. 

Officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash cam.
