Man in critical condition after suspected road rage incident
Police investigating a suspected road rage assault that left a man in a critical condition are appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward.
Cops were called at about 5.30am on August 20, after a man was found with a head injury at traffic lights in Erith Road, Bexleyheath.
London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene and the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment.
He remains in hospital in a critical condition and his family have been informed, police said.
A 24-year-old man was arrested the same day on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
He was taken to a South London police station where he was bailed pending further enquiries.
Detective Constable Katie McGinn, who is investigating, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who either witnessed this incident or has dashcam footage.
“We believe that the victim sustained his injuries following a traffic incident, and subsequent altercation, involving a man from another vehicle.
“If you saw any part of this sequence of events, or if you have footage, please do get in touch.”
