Man is charged with Christmas Eve Battersea murder after extradition from Sweden
A man has been charged with the murder of Flamur Beqiri in Battersea on Christmas Eve after being extradited from Denmark.
Anis Fouad Hemissi, 22, a Swedish national, was returned to the UK this morning following his arrest at Copenhagen Airport on 20 January under a European Arrest Warrant.
In addition to murder, Hemissi was also charged with possession of a firearm. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 9 June.
Mr Beqiri, 36, was fatally shot on the evening of Tuesday, 24 December, outside the front of his £1.7million home in Battersea Church Road, Battersea, in front of his wife and child.
