Man seriously hurt after being knocked over by bus
Police have said a 69-year-old man knocked over by a bus was seriously injured.
But the man, who was hit in Mayplace Road West, Bexleyheath, is expected to survive the accident.
Officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command (RTPC) are appealing for witnesses following the serious collision in Bexleyheath.
Police were called at approximately 1.55pm on Monday to reports of a bus in collision with a pedestrian in Mayplace Road West, Bexleyheath.
London Ambulance Service attended and the pedestrian, a 69-year-old man, was taken to a South London hospital for treatment to serious injuries; his condition is not life-threatening.
The man’s next of kin have been notified.
The bus stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.
