Man who jumped from Westminster Bridge still missing after five days

Police are continuing their five day search for a man who jumped off Westminster Bridge on Saturday.

Police officers, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade were called to the bridge at around 8pm on Saturday night.

One man had a cut on his hand, and another had jumped from the bridge into the river.

The man with the injury was taken to hospital but has been discharged.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Westminster Bridge at 19.52hrs on Saturday, August 7 to reports of a man with a cut hand.

“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.

“The man with the hand injury was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

“It was also reported to officers that a man had jumped into the River Thames from Westminster Bridge.

“A search is ongoing to locate this man.

“The incident is not being treated as terror-related at this time.”
