Met issue dispersal order after Croydon stabbing

The Met issued a dispersal order after a man was stabbed in the head and hand outside a pub yesterday afternoon.

Police were called at around 2.15pm to Renown Close, Croydon, following reports of a group of men fighting.

Officers responded to the scene and found a man in his 30s in London Road, with a serious knife injury to his hand and a laceration across his head.

He was taken to hospital where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening. There have been no arrests at this time.

The Met have authorised a section 35 dispersal order, banning certain people from the area for 48 hours.

A spokesman from the Met said: “Anyone with information that could help police should call 101 ref 3855/13 Nov.”
