Murder charge for suspect arrested in connection with Lambeth killing

Detectives investigating a death in Lambeth have named the victim and charged a man with murder.

Peter Lalgie-Williams, 56, of Hicken Road, Brixton, was charged today with the killing of 57-year-old Chester Goffe.

He will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court later today.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 1.30am on Saturday, after receiving report of a critically injured man at a flat in Hicken Road.

Chester Goffe was taken to a London hospital where he died a short time later.
