Mystery death of young man in Blackheath ‘not seen as suspicious’
The death of a man found unresponsive in Blackheath is being treated as ‘unexpected but not suspicious.’
Police were called at 7.30am yesterday with reports of the man – aged in his 20s – being found in St German’s Place.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and performed first aid on the man, but despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.30am.
Enquiries are ongoing to inform his next-of-kin.
A Met police spokesman confirmed: “His death is being treated as unexpected, but not suspicious.”
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
