Nearly every Greenwich child offered place at preferred primary schools
Nearly every child in the borough of Greenwich has been offered a place at one of their preferred primary schools.
For children starting primary school in September 2022, yesterday was a big day as they found out which school they would be attending on National Offer Day.
In Greenwich, 99 per cent of families were given a preferred school, with 91 per cent being placed at their first preference – a 1.65 per cent increase on last year.
A spokeswoman for Greenwich council said: “If your child has been allocated a school not on your preference list, you need to let us know by May 4 if you wish to accept the offer.
“If you haven’t already applied and your child is due to start primary school in September, please get in touch with us, there is still time for late applicants.”
Families can find more information on the council website here.
