Pedestrian left with life-threatening head injury after Tulse Hill van collision

A woman in her 40s is fighting for her life after a collision with a van on the Tulse Hill gyratory.

Police were called just after 3pm yesterday to reports of an incident involving a van and a pedestrian in Norwood Road, West Norwood at the junction with the South Circular.

Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended. The woman pedestrian was taken to hospital with a head injury.

Her injuries are currently believed to be life-threatening. 

The driver of the van stopped at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened. Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 4303/14Feb.

Concern has been expressed before by residents about the safety of the gyratory, flagging it up as an accident blackspot.
