Pirate studio offering exclusive music workshops
A global music studio company will be running a series of exclusive workshops for young aspiring artists from next week.
Pirate will offer free training and industry mentorship is available for anyone between 14-18 years old.
The programme is part of Berkeley’s new Kidbrooke Artist Development Programme’ and will be delivered in partnership with youth organisation, The Association for Development through Education, Information, and Support (DEIS UK).
From July 28, DEIS UK will hold four half day workshops over a five-week period covering music, lyric writing, photography and social media at Artfix in Kidbrooke Village.
The workshops will end with a showcase presentation of the participants work on September 1.
Pirate – who have more than 700 branches across the world, will invite students to one of their Greenwich studios where they will be able to practice the skills they have learnt and get guidance from onsite staff and artists.

“We have a shared goal to empower young talent by removing common barriers to creativity like distance, financial constraints or lack of connections.
“Through mentorship and access to dedicated creative space in the local area, the scheme aims to nurture the next generation of artists in Greenwich.”
