Police release image of man they want to speak to after sexual assault in Tube station

The British Transport Police (BTP) have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted on an escalator in a London Underground station last month.

The assault took place on March 27 in Oval Tube station.

Just after 4pm the victim was on the escalator on her way out of the station when she was sexually assaulted.

Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help with their investigation.

A spokesman for the BTP said: “Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 422 of 27 March 2024.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
