Relief as young Greenwich girl is found

A six-year-old girl missing from her Thamesmead home last night has been found safe and well.

An urgent appeal was put out for Eudine at 10.40pm last night after she vanished from her home after playing in her street near the Thames.

Police also released CCTV footage of the little girl.

But shortly before 10am this morning, they released a statement, saying: “We are pleased to confirm that Eudine, who was reported missing from Thamesmead yesterday, has been found safe and well.

“We thank the media for their support in publicising this appeal.”

The appeal reached a national audience, with broadcasters like the BBC and Sky News relaying the urgent appeals amid growing concern for the youngster.

The circumstances surrounding her disappearance and return to safety have not been disclosed.
