Second man charged over New Park Road killing

A second man has been charged with the murder of a 44-year-old in Lambeth a year ago.

Ernestas Aleksandrovas, 29, of Norwood High Street, has been charged with the murder of Mauricio ‘Maurice’ Nascimento, from Croydon.

He is due to attend Croydon Magistrates’ Court today.

On July 12 last year, police were called by the London Ambulance Service just before 7am to New Park Road, where the body of Mr Nascimento was found.

A post-mortem examination held at Greenwich Mortuary gave the provisional cause of death as multiple injuries.

Arturas Ptickinas 29, of Norwood High Street, had previously been charged with the murder.

Ptickinas is due to appear at Kingston Crown Court on July 19.
