Shoppers help fund children’s charity
A children’s charity is searching for funding to boost their work with children living in cramped conditions.
Movement Works, which is based in Brockley, provides classes for children to improve physical and mental development and has been raising funds through the Co-op Local Community Scheme raising £1,400 so far.
Every single pound raised means more classes for the charity and helps children with obesity find activities.
Ali Golding, managing and creative director of Movement Works, said: “Movement Works is a charity that uses scientifically-proven methods to improve learning in children of all ages and abilities.
We are thrilled that the Co-op Local Community Fund has chosen us as one of the charities that Co-op shoppers can support.
“We need to raise vital funds so we can provide our proposed programme of classes for Brockley children, but it won’t cost shoppers a penny because every time someone buys Co-op own brand products, they get a five per cent reward for themselves and a one per cent reward for local causes such as Movement Works Action for Brockley.
“The more we can raise means more classes and children we can reach”. There will be an introduction to a Movement Works at Crofton Park library on March 16.
