Six men charged as man left in ‘life-threatening’ condition after metal pole attack

Six men have been charged as a man remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition after he was hit with a metal pole earlier this month.

All six will appear at Inner London Crown Court in early November, charged with grievous bodily harm. 

Those charged include Djabrail Haptakaev, 20, of Perham Road, West Kensington, Lewis Hysa, 21, of Stadium Way, Wembley, Joni Spahiu, 21, of Electric Boulevard, Battersea, Alkomber Kojtasi, 23, of Winchester Street, Ealing, Arlinddo Kojtasi, 22, of Winchester Street, Ealing and Mickyas Oumer, 22, of Bath Street, Islington.

The charges follow a serious assault at around 4.15am on October 1 on Albert Embankment, on the south side of the Thames, near Vauxhall Bridge.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering a serious head injury. He remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital. 

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
