Teenager and man in 70s taken to hospital with ‘slash injuries’ after knife fight

A teenager and a man in his 70s were taken to hospital and arrested after a knife fight yesterday morning.

Police were called at around 8.45am to reports of two men in possession of a knife in Brigstock Road in Thornton Heath.

Officers attended and found a 17-year-old boy with a stab injury and a man in his mid-70s with “slash injuries”.

Both of the men were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

The Met have confirmed the condition of the two victims is not life threatening.

A spokesman from the Met said: “Both men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

“Enquiries continue.”
