Teenager charged with attempted murder over shooting in Nine Elms

Detectives investigating the shooting of a man in Lambeth in February have charged a man with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Kieron Thompson, 18, of no fixed abode, was charged on Saturday, 18 April.
He was due to attend Croydon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The charges follow an incident in Wandsworth Road, Nine Elms, shortly before 6.30pm hrs on 9 February after police were called to reports of gunshots heard.

Officers, including firearms officers, attended. An 18-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot and stab wounds.

A 20-year-old man arrested as part of the investigation on 26 February has been released under investigation.
