Teenager found stabbed yards from City Hall in the early hours of this morning

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in a pedestrian area between London Bridge station and City Hall.

Police were called by paramedics in the early hours of this morning, at 12.18am on Sunday, 11 April, to a report of male with stab injuries in More London Riverside.

Officers attended along with paramedics and found a 19-year-old man suffering stab injuries. He has been taken to hospital. While we await a full assessment, his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

An investigation is under way to establish the circumstances. Police cordons were put in place at several locations overnight. All cordons have now been lifted.

There has been no arrest at this early stage.
