Teenager stabbed to death on bus near Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park stadium is named

A 17-year-old has been stabbed to death on a bus near Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park ground.

Police were called at about 8.30pm last night to reports of a stabbing on a bus in Whitehorse Lane, Croydon.

Officers and paramedics found Damani Mauge, aged 17, suffering from stab wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 9.05pm.

Next of kin are aware and being supported by specially trained officers.

At this early stage, it is believed the victim was involved in an altercation on a bus prior to the attack.
