Three years for woman after knifepoint robbery at Kensington betting shop
A woman who helped carry out a knifepoint robbery at a betting shop has been jailed.
Sapphire Anderson, 39, pictured above, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to robbery at Isleworth Crown Court and was sentenced on Friday, October 25 to three years and five months imprisonment.
The court heard that on Friday, May 31, Anderson and an unknown accomplice, who was wearing a balaclava, went to the City Slots shop in North End Road, West. Kensington, at around 4:30am.
As Anderson kept lookout by the door, the other suspect entered the venue and threatened a staff member, holding a knife to her back and marching her to the cash office.
The terrified staff member handed over £2,000 and the suspects quickly fled after Anderson held the door open.
Work to identify Anderson’s crime partner continues.
