Tulse Hill car wash site to become 45 flats block

A plot which once had two houses and a car wash is to get a 45-flat block.

Housing provider Optivo has begun work on the £15 million development in Tulse Hill.

The site, on the corner of Norwood Road and Thurlow Park Road will have a mix of one, two and three-bedroom flats, open space, storage and parking.

Richard White, Director of Land and New Business at Optivo, said: “We’re really excited to get started with Henley Construct Ltd on this fantastic scheme.

It offers residents the chance to become part of an established community in the heart of Tulse Hill.

We’re expecting then development to complete in Summer 2023 and look forward to giving residents the keys to their high-quality new homes.”

Aaron Usmani, construction director at builders Henley Construct, added: “We are delighted to be working with Optivo on the delivery of these much-needed homes for Lambeth.

Demolition of the existing structures is well underway, and we’re looking forward to the start of construction.”
