The Tulse Hill Estate in Lambeth has been given an £800,000 make-over.

The vast Estate, which has over 900 properties, had 70 per cent of the Estate resurfaced along with a new playground and extra cycling storage.

Councillor Maria Kay, Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness, said: “I’m delighted that these works have been completed, it’s a real improvement to the look and feel of the estate, as well as providing important new infrastructure like bin stores and bike racks.

“Meetings were held with residents to decide what work should be done and they were follow up get togethers.

“It’s great to now see the fruits of everyone’s labour here.”

Some of these fruits include angled parking spaces, Bin sheds, traffic calming measures and a rain garden created to help prevent flooding.

Cllr Sonia Winifred, estate representatives and local children toured the estate on Tuesday to inspect the work and to discuss local issues.
