Turn over a new leaf by picking up a gift book on Valentine’s Day

A charity is leaving books across South London to cheer up people on Valentine’s Day.

As well as a day of celebrating love, Friday February 14 is also International Book Giving Day.

The charity, Southfields-based Learn to Love to Read, has been wrapping books and labelling them with an enigmatic description of what’s inside.

They are hiding them in the cafes and bars of South London on Friday, ready for literary lovelorn types to find, fall in love with, and take home.
