Two arrests made in Kai McGinley murder investigation

Police have made two arrests in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder of 24-year-old Kai McGinley in Erith.

The two men – aged 20 and 18 – were arrested on suspicion of murder late yesterday and both remain in custody.

Police were called at around 9pm on Thursday, February 9 to reports of shots fired in Pembroke Road.

Met Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found Kai suffering with a gunshot injury.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Kai died at the scene.

Kai’s next of kin have been notified and they continue to be supported by specialist officers.
