Two men arrested after violent robbery at jewellers left three people in hospital

Two men have been arrested in connection with several offenses, including a robbery at a jewellers.

Thomas Loring, 40, of Dunkery Road in Eltham and 41-year-old James Dixon were arrested on June 19, as part of an investigation into several robberies, including a robbery at a jewellers on Sydney Street, Chelsea in March.

Three people were hospitalised for facial injuries sustained during the robbery, and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and antiques were stolen by two masked men.

Mr Loring and Mr Dixon will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on June 21 to face charges of robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, and conspiracy to steal.
