Two set for Old Bailey murder hearing over Jeremiah ‘car stabbing’

Two men have been charged with the murder of Jeremiah Sewell in Lewisham.

Godfrey Tanishe Madondo, 19, of Colegrove Road, Southwark and Kadjo Kadio, 18, of Crown Drive, Romford, East London were charged on Tuesday.

They appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where they were remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Two 19-year-old women who were arrested on Tuesday, on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice, remain in custody.

An 18-year-old man arrested on Sunday, on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A murder investigation was launched on Saturday, after Jeremiah attended a South London hospital with stab injuries to his neck. He later died in hospital.

He is said to have been attacked while sitting in his car at around 4.40am on Saturday morning in Beckenham Park Place, Lewisham.
