Wimbledon Stanford graduate who writes scripts and acts – and is now competing for a modelling contract

By Rachael Griffiths

A brain box who works in artificial intelligence is hoping to crack the toughest code – to win a beauty pageant.

Ruchika Jain, of Tybenham Road, Wimbledon, is an award winning screenwriter and director of films, all of which was filmed from her home during lockdown.

She has acted in feature films and even modelled in commercials.

Ruchika is also taking centre stage in a solo performance of Polka Theatres production of “Maanika and the Wolf” in Wimbledon.

The review speaks for itself: “Ruchika Jain, who performs solo for the show’s duration, is an amazing performer/storyteller who captivates the children’s imagination with movement, songs and puppetry.  Maanika and the Wolf gets 5 stars from all three of us! We loved the intimate setting and enjoyed every bit of the performance.”

The mum of two has a qualification from the University of Stanford.

Her hobbies include reading, theatre, working out, dancing and travelling.

If she wins this beauty pageant, due to take place on 2 September, she will bag a mega modelling contract.

She will have four photoshoots throughout the year and get jewlery, new clothes, make-up, beauty treatment and even a website.”
