Woman arrested after man left fighting for his life
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was left fighting for his life.
Police rushed to the scene in Crowmarsh Gardens, Forest Hill, at around 2pm yesterday to reports of a man being stabbed.
A man, in his 30s, was found at the scene suffering from a stab wound and was rushed to hospital by air ambulance.
A 39-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm with intent.
She remains in custody at a South London police station and will be quizzed by officers.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 2.17pm on Monday, May 2 to reports of a stabbing at a residential property in Crowmarsh Gardens.
“Officers attended, along with London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. A man, aged in his 30s, was found with a stab injury.
“He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
“A 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm with intent.
“She was taken into custody at a South London police station.
“Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene remains in place.”
