Parthian Climbing’s new wall opens in Wandsworth

If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a bit of an Olympic climber, this is your time to shine.

A new climbing wall is opening in Wandsworth on July 1.

It is the first indoor climbing facility in the UK to feature an exact replica of the Olympic bouldering wall which will be used at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Parthian Climbing Wandsworth will be inside Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth High Street.

The venue will offer an indoor climbing facility with 25,000 sq ft of space as well as a cafe, bar, gym, retail and co-working space.

The Wandsworth space is Parithian’s fifth centre and will provide a number of climbing opportunities including bouldering, auto-belays and roped climbing.

Setting this site apart from its counterparts is The Titan, the first exact replica of the Olympic bouldering wall in the UK.

Parthian Climbing Wandsworth expects professional athletes visiting from around the globe to use the Olympic wall for intensive training ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games.

John Dunne, founder of Parthian Climbing said: “We will offer climbing for everyone, catering for a wide mix of the community, and bringing climbing to the next generation.”
