Peckham fighter Johnny Garton lands British title rematch against Chris Jenkins

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Peckham’s Johnny Garton has been added to the undercard of the heavyweight clash between Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce – with the British title on the line.

The South Londoner held the domestic crown until he was defeated on points by Chris Jenkins in March 2019.

Jenkins will make the third defence of the British belt on the April 11 show at Greenwich’s 02 Arena.

The card is topped by Dubois as he boxes virtually on his doorstep against Joyce – the two undefeated punchers contesting the newly-vacated European title as well as a host of other straps.

Welling’s WBO European super featherweight champion Archie Sharp will also be in action along with Battersea’s big-hitting middleweight Denzel Bentley.
