Police arrest two in Peckham after chase follows knifepoint car robbery in Camberwell

Police have arrested two men after car was stolen at knifepoint in Camberwell  and stopped by police in Peckham three hours later.

The robbery happened in Camberwell Church Street at 10.37pm on Thursday.

The suspects made off from the scene and a chase was authorised. Later that evening the vehicle was sighted in Bromley borough.

A vehicle was stopped by police in Pomeroy Street, Peckham, at 1.41am and two men detained on suspicion of robbery, failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.

There were no reports of any injuries.
