‘Prepare for war’ – Bogdan Dinu in confident mood ahead of Daniel Dubois scrap
Bogdan Dinu has told Daniel Dubois to prepare for war when they meet for the WBA Interim heavyweight title in Telford on Saturday.
Greenwich’s Dubois (15-1) is looking to bounce back from his stoppage loss to Joe Joyce in November.
Romanian Dinu (20-2) comes into the bout as a huge underdog.
He has won his last two fights since being halted back-to-back against Jarrell Miller and Kubrat Pulev, the former has been a sparring partner ahead of the clash with Dubois.
Dinu said: “Daniel lost a tough war last time he boxed but he needs more experience. I have the experience.
“I don’t know if they have made a mistake [picking me]. I am prepared, coming to win and it will be a war from the first round.
“Daniel is a good fighter, but he needs to learn and have more fights. Good fights, not just against regular fighters who lose in the first round.”
Dubois has described Dinu as a “standard” fighter.
“He is talking before he has met me,” said Dinu. “As Mike Tyson says ‘everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face’.”
