‘A fortress’ – Millwall caretaker boss wants to change home form

Adam Barrett has set his sights on improving Millwall’s home form and wants to make The Den a fortress.

The South Londoners face Blackburn in SE16 tomorrow night – the first time the two sides have met since Rovers’ stunning second-half comeback ensured Millwall missed out on the Championship play-offs.

Millwall have won just six times at home in the league since the start of 2023 – two of those victories against Rotherham United.

It’s something that the caretaker manager wants to rectify.

“It’s hard to put your finger on as if we knew we would have sorted it out by now,” said Barrett.

Millwall have lost three of their six home games this campaign.

“It’s definitely something we want to put right, ” said Barrett.

“We’ve got a difficult game on Tuesday as we know against a dangerous opposition as we found out last year.

“We’ve got to make sure that we get our work right and start making The Den a fortress like it can be and when it’s like that it’s an extremely difficult place to come and play It’s back to the drawing board now and making sure we put that in place.”
