AFC Wimbledon agree fresh winger deal

Courtney Senior has signed a new short-term deal with AFC Wimbledon until the end of the January transfer window.

The winger’s previous deal expired at the start of the January window, which meant he was unable to be named in the matchday squad for the 2-1 defeat away to Sutton on New Year’s Day.

Croydon-born Senior originally joined the Dons on a short-term deal in October after Brentford loanee Nathan Young-Coombes picked up a knee injury in the 2-0 defeat to Northampton in September.

Senior, 25, scored his first goal for the club in the 3-2 win over Harrogate Town, equalising for the Dons to bring the scoreline back to 2-2.

The ex-Colchester and Newport County forward has made 11 appearances in all competitions under Johnnie Jackson since signing at Plough Lane.

Wimbledon announced earlier today that Huddersfield Town have recalled forward Kyle Hudlin early from his season-long loan spell with the club.
