AFC Wimbledon defender: It’s time to really kick on after Plough Lane move

Terell Thomas believes AFC Wimbledon are “in a great position” to use their Plough Lane homecoming as a catalyst to kick on this season.
The Dons completed their move back home to SW19 last week.
Thomas believes the foundations are now in place for the club to advance.
The Dons centre-back said: “The club’s in a great position to kick on now. We’ve moved back home. With everything off the pitch near enough sorted now, we can really go to the next level. The club is in a really good place at the moment.
“We’ve had a decent start to the season. It’s another plus – getting back to Plough Lane. We’ve given ourselves a great foundation to go and now kick on.
“The last few seasons I’ve been here, we haven’t had a great start, so we’ve been playing catch up. But we’ve started better this year. Being in a mid-table position after 10 or so games is a really good spot to put ourselves in.
“Now, we can look above us and say: ‘Let’s go on again and kick on’. Hopefully, in the new year, we can maybe be closer to those play-off spots and try to stay in and around there. Then we could use that as confidence to say: ‘Why can’t we be one of the top six sides?’ We do have that belief in and around the changing room, definitely. It’s about putting that into games.”
