AFC Wimbledon head coach Robinson has options to fill assistant role
New AFC Wimbledon head coach Mark Robinson will bring in an assistant – but that is the only role left to fill.
Robinson had already used mindset mentor Steve Sallis after being placed in interim charge.
And now the Dons boss has confirmed that Sallis is part of his set-up moving forward.
“I’ve already brought in a performance mindset coach in Steve Sallis. I’ve brought in a set-piece coach in Andy Parslow. The rest of the team I’m really happy with.
“Steve will be coming in once a week and also home games. He’ll also be available to the players on a one-to-one basis.
“I will be stepping up Rob Tuvey to be closer to the first team and he will be taking over my old role as well – he’ll be first-team coach and loans manager. Then it’s just about me getting a number two.
“There are a couple of options there we are looking at but the slight problem, I’ll be honest with you, is the guys I flagged up have been in work. They are high-calibre candidates and they are in work. There is another option we’re looking at that we need to see if that can work as well.
“The staff are in place. It’s just the number two position we’re looking to get in now.”
