AFC Wimbledon midfielder Jack Rudoni set for Huddersfield Town transfer

Huddersfield Town are set to sign AFC Wimbledon midfielder Jack Rudoni.

The South London Press understands that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs.

Rudoni is set to sign a four-year contract and is due to undergo a medical.

The 21-year-old had attracted interest from a host of Championship clubs with Sunderland, Bristol City, Luton Town and Blackpool all admirers.

Wimbledon had rejected bids of £500,000 from Huddersfield and Sunderland at the end of June.

But they were always privately resigned to losing Rudoni, who has still delivered an impressive attacking return despite the team’s abject  relegation from League One.

His exit makes it more likely that the Dons will reject any approach for Luke McCormick, who is a target for Bristol Rovers.

Rudoni, McCormick and Ayoub Assal are their most saleable assets.

Assal had been linked with Fulham and Brentford.
