AFC Wimbledon midfielder seals Gillingham move

Gillingham have signed AFC Wimbledon midfielder Armani Little.

The Dons had offered new terms to the 27-year-old, who joined permanently in July after spending the second half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan from Forest Green Rovers.

Little will officially become a Gills player on July 1 when his Wimbledon contract ends.

The Kent club’s deal for the Portsmouth-born player was public knowledge when he was snapped by a Gills fan at their kit launch earlier today – before it was officially announced.

Little scored four goals in 44 matches for Wimbledon last season.

Gillingham boss Mark Bonner said: “Armani is an excellent addition to our midfield.

“A tenacious, all-energy player who plays with personality. He will give us good balance and handles the ball well with a good passing range. He has a character that everyone will warm to and will help us become the team we want to be.”

Little said: “I am really pleased to be here and can’t wait to get going. I like to get on the ball and hopefully I can add a few goals.”
