AFC Wimbledon step up transfer interest in Crystal Palace goalkeeper

AFC Wimbledon have stepped up their interest in signing Crystal Palace goalkeeper Owen Goodman on loan for the 2024-25 League Two campaign, the South London Press understands.

The Dons are narrowing down their search to revamp their goalkeeper department over the summer transfer window.

Goodman, 20, spent last season on loan with League Two rivals Colchester United and featured 40 times during his first senior spell away from Selhurst Park.

Wimbledon have had a number of successful loan goalkeepers who have thrived working under coach Ashley Bayes, with Aaron Ramsdale, George Long and Alex Bass joining the Dons on a short stint in recent years.

Bass returned to Sunderland at the end of last season and Nik Tzanev was released.
