AFC Wimbledon striker in running for September’s League One Player of the Month award
Joe Pigott has been shortlisted for League One’s Player of the Month for September.
The AFC Wimbledon striker netted twice and set up four of their seven goals in that period.
Pigott is up against Madger Gomes (Doncaster Rovers), George Honeyman (Hull City) and Alex Palmer (Lincoln City) for the accolade.

Gomes scored in all of Doncaster’s games – including a long-range effort in a 3-1 win at Charlton Athletic.
Midfielder Honeyman bagged three assists and got a goal as Hull enjoyed a 100 per cent record in September.
Lincoln goalkeeper Palmer made a fine double save against Oxford United and also made stops against Milton Kaynes and Charlton before the Imps went ahead.
The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
