AFC Wimbledon’s League Two clash with Walsall postponed due to frozen pitch
AFC Wimbledon’s game at home to Walsall has been postponed after a pitch inspection on Monday afternoon deemed that the surface was unplayable due to a frozen pitch.
The match will now be rescheduled for a later date.
Walsall – 11th in League Two – beat Johnnie Jackson’s side 3-1 in the reverse fixture back in October.
The Dons, who have drawn their previous two outings in the fourth tier, also had their game away at Newport last Saturday postponed.
Wimbledon take on Stockport County at Plough Lane this upcoming Saturday.
A statement on the Wimbledon website said: “A pitch inspection this afternoon deemed that the surface was unplayable and the match scheduled for tomorrow night will now need to be rescheduled.”
