Ajax linked to Crystal Palace defender – with claims contract negotiations have stalled
Ajax are being linked with a January move for Patrick van Aanholt.
The Crystal Palace defender, pictured inset, is out of contract at the end of June.
It has been reported that talks over an extension have stalled.
Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso was recently mooted as a potential target for the Eagles as they size up options if Van Aanholt does not extend his stay in SE25. Marseille’s Jordan Amavi is also thought to be under consideration.
Ajax are able to clinch a pre-contract agreement with Van Aanholt from the start of 2021. The Dutch international has scored 14 goals in 115 games for Palace.
