Alex Pearce demands big Millwall performance against QPR

BY ALEX GRACE

Alex Pearce wants Millwall to deliver a big performance against QPR on Saturday to make amends for the 2-0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers.

The Lions have dropped to 15th in the Championship standings after the reverse at Ewood Park but remain unbeaten on home turf.

Captain Pearce said: “We conceded too many chances -possibly because we were going for it too early. It’s a frustrating afternoon for everyone, but we have to lick our wounds and go again.

“We need to show a response and bounce back.”

Derrick Williams and Bradley Dacks netted for Blackburn.

Pearce said: “The first goal is a fantastic strike, we could have done better in the build-up.

“The second goal again we could have done better in the build-up. The lads are devastated in the dressing room. They know we have to do better, we have to defend better and also, we need to be better in the final third.

“I don’t feel we did too much wrong, but when you’re a bit off it in terms of the whole group then things can go against you.

“You don’t get too high when you win and you don’t get too low when you lose.

“We need to move on from this because we have a big game on Saturday.”

But Alex mate, however it seems to the players, it always seems to be different problems and issues after games compared with what the fans are seeing.
We may not be as knowledgeable as we often claim, but for sure we’re no mugs either.
Sometimes to see the problems more clearly it’s needed to look from the outside in. The latest Lions TV video where Dan gets it off his chest is a general consensus of a lot of fans who want nothing more than to sing the players praises. COYL
