Are Crystal Palace lining up former Millwall defender for boss job?

Sean Dyche has been linked with replacing Roy Hodgson in the Crystal Palace hotseat.

The Sunday Mirror claims that Eagles chairman Steve Parish is “stepping up plans for a change” and that the former Millwall centre-back is in contention to be the next man in charge of the SE25 outfit.

Hodgson has a year to run on his Palace contract. The South Londoners have lost seven Premier League matches in a row and finish their campaign at home to Tottenham today.

Dyche has been in charge of the Clarets for eight years and there have been reports that he has grown frustrated at an inability to spend more in the transfer market.

The paper says that he would want to bring trusted backroom staff with him – including assistant Ian Woan.
