Bees head coach asked about Said Benrahma’s future – as Crystal Palace and Fulham target features at Millwall

Thomas Frank was unable to answer if Said Benrahma will still be a Brentford player after the end of this window – with Crystal Palace and Fulham both linked with the playmaker.

The Bees head coach was asked about the Algerian attacker after today’s 1-1 draw at Millwall.

Benrahma came on in the closing stages at The Den.

Asked if the 25-year-old would be staying, Frank replied: “That’s the question….I don’t know. I can only guess.

“If he is still here I will be very happy to have one of the best offensive players in the Championship.

“All of us, including the player, would like to have an answer – stay or go. But it’s part of football, so we have to deal with it.

“Said has been bang on in terms of his attitude. He has been a top pro.

“I thought he did fairly well. It was not his best 20 minutes. But I was satisfied with his attitude. He still produced an unbelievable cross that without the action [of Alex Pearce] would have been a goal [for Ivan Toney].”
