Ben Heneghan gives verdict on AFC Wimbledon’s stalemate at Ipswich Town

BY KAI BENNETT

Ben Heneghan was dissatisfied that AFC Wimbledon only came away with a point on Saturday.

The Dons drew 0-0 with Ipswich Town at Portman Road to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

Mark Robinson’s side are five points clear of the bottom four with only three games remaining.

Asked if Wimbledon should have got all three points, Heneghan told the club’s website: ”Definitely. As a defender, I’m really pleased with the clean sheet, that keeps the momentum going and the unbeaten run. But we had chances there to win the game and it’s frustrating we didn’t win.

“We created a good few chances after [the penalty miss], as the game went on it died down, but we had four good chances to get a goal.

“The way we have been playing, [to not score today is] frustrating.  I’m frustrated and I know the lads are too.

“The draw is good, but it should be five wins and that’s the attitude we have now.”
