Billy ‘The Kid’ Jackson set for Southern Area title fight in March 2024

Rising South London boxer Billy ‘The Kid’ Jackson shocked the UK boxing scene on October 1 by defeating the undefeated Gideon Onyenani over eight thrilling rounds.

Jackson was only a 4-0 boxer when he defeated Onyenani.

With this win, Jackson’s record improved to 5-0, propelling him towards the highly coveted Southern Area title, which was to take place in early 2023.

However, before Jackson could fully embrace this significant opportunity, a slight change in his medical scan caught the attention of the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC).

Concerned for his well-being, the BBBofC instructed Jackson to undergo a CT scan to ensure his safety in the ring.

Thankfully, the CT scan results came back clear, allowing Jackson to continue pursuing his dreams.

Undeterred by the setback, he eagerly entered another challenging bout against Lee Eatons’ formidable boxer, Jurell Patterson.

The fight took place on an electrifying night, where Jackson demonstrated his skill and determination, knocking down Patterson in the second round and delivering a dominant performance throughout.

The victory solidified Jackson’s reputation as a rising star in the UK boxing scene.

Now boasting an impressive record of 6-0, Jackson sets his sights on the Southern Area title, scheduled to take place in March 2024.

His remarkable journey has captivated fans and promoters alike, earning him the prestigious main event slot at the York Hall on the 18th of November 2023, as part of the Neilson Boxing show.

Throughout his inspiring journey, Jackson has been honing his skills at the renowned 2BX Gym in Hayes. Under the guidance of his dedicated trainers and with his relentless work ethic, Jackson continues to impress and exceed expectations. As he looks ahead to the Southern Area title fight, the boxing world eagerly awaits the next chapter in the remarkable story of Billy “The Kid” Jackson.
