Blades are opening test for Millwall in FA Youth Cup later this month
Millwall’s U18s will head to Sheffield United on December 15 in the FA Youth Cup third round.
The Lions reached the last eight of the tournament in the 2019-20 season before a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Striker Armando Broja, now on loan at Southampton, scored the decisive goal in the second half to knock out Millwall.
The west London club had thrashed Wolves 7-0 in the previous round.
Ian Maatsen, who has had loans at Charlton and Coventry, and Henry Lawrence, who joined AFC Wimbledon on a temporary deal at the start of this campaign, also featured in the tie.
Millwall handed starts to Alex Mitchell and Hayden Muller, currently on loan at Leyton Orient and St Johnstone.
The Lions quickly sold out their 1,000 ticket allocation for the match and Chelsea refused to release any more.
Millwall exited the competition at the third round last season after a 4-0 defeat to Middlesbrough in December.
Chris Kavanagh’s double and Pharrell Willis had the Teessiders 3-0 up before the break. Josh Coburn rounded off the scoring.
Tickets for the Sheffield United match will be available to purchase on the gate in Yorkshire (£3 adults and £1 concessions).
