Brentford striker Forss one of three deadline loan deals for AFC Wimbledon
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
AFC Wimbledon had a busy finish to the loan deadline as they snapped up three players before yesterday’s cut-off for deals.
The Dons signed Brentford striker Marcus Forss, defender Ryan Delaney from Rochdale and Brighton midfielder Max Sanders.
Sanders, 20, has captained the Seagulls U23 side. Wimbledon boss Wally Downes said: “He’s young and hungry, he wants to come and play. He links play up and he’s a very talented boy.”
Delaney, 22, has featured 57 times for Dale.
“He’s left-sided and we have a problem with Rod [McDonald], who is out for eight to 10 weeks,” said Downes. “He has proved himself at this level.”
Winger Dylan Connolly has joined Bradford City on a season-long loan.
Northampton have signed attacker Egli Kaja on a deal until January. The 22-year-old was released by Wimbledon in the summer.
